  • Combined Heat & Power

Solar

Solar Photovoltaics (PV) convert the Sun’s clean energy into DC power. SolarBlue employs a utility-tie (grid-tie) solar energy system designed to reduce, stop, or reverse utility metering, resulting in significant energy and cost savings.  Solar Thermal systems heat the existing water supply with the Sun’s natural energy using solar collectors. The fluid system moves hot water from the solar collectors to its point of usage, providing a constant flow of heated water with any installation.  Based on extensive energy audits and professional experience, SolarBlue engineers determine the optimal panel dimensions and custom engineer a Solar system to accommodate our clients’ location and needs.

Wind

Wind Turbines convert the wind’s kinetic energy into mechanical power. Wind energy creates electromagnetic current, which is then regulated and fed directly into the electric grid. Wind turbines range from 100 kilowatts to 5 megawatts on a commercial level and need wind speeds of 10 miles per hour to start generating electricity.  SolarBlue engineers custom design all Wind plans for optimal efficiency.

Energy Management Systems

Energy Management Systems are energy saving systems that marry occupancy-based setback strategies with digital temperature control. These systems use occupancy sensors including motion and infrared sensing technology to detect occupancy and maintain humidity control and efficient energy levels.  Energy Management Systems eliminate wasteful energy use in unoccupied and occupied spaces and can reduce energy consumption by 30-40%.  Energy Management Systems allow for remote monitoring and remote adjustments to ensure comfort levels, while maximizing energy efficiency.

Efficient Lighting

Energy efficient lighting products include compact fluorescents bulbs (CFLs), light-emitting diode lighting (LEDs), and inductive lighting, all of which can replace less energy efficient incandescent bulbs.  These energy efficient lighting products have a longer rated life span and save nearly 2,000 times their own weight in greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, energy efficient lighting will not only decrease energy consumption, but save money by reducing replacement costs.

Combined Heat & Power

Combined Heat & Power (CHP) is an integrated set of technologies for the simultaneous, on-site production of electricity and heat.  CHP is energy efficient, making use of heat produced during power generation and avoiding generation and transmission losses.
